Step back in time with this year's Retro Roar spirit collection, where old-school style meets modern design!
Inspired by words from the historic building sign, our Retro Roar collection honors Oakdale's rich history.
Oakdale School has been at the heart of this community since 1869, starting as a one-room schoolhouse and community center. Over the years, it grew alongside the families it served—from a small K-8 school in 1927 to a larger building in the 1950s as Omaha expanded. In 1947, Oakdale became one of the three original schools that helped shape District 66, now Westside Community Schools.

A new, state-of-the-art Oakdale Elementary opened in January 2017. While the building is modern, it stands on the same ground where generations of students have learned and grown, honoring the rich history and spirit of our community.
This year, our Retro Roar collection celebrates Oakdale's heritage with long-sleeve apparel perfect for fall! We offered tees, pullovers, and full-zip hoodies in styles for cooler weather.
We had two shirt options to fit different budgets. For a more affordable choice, we switched from Gildan to Jerzees, which provides better comfort and durability for the same price. For something more premium, Bella + Canvas shirts were available, known for their softer feel and stylish fit. Both options featured the same design.
We're excited to work with Courtyard Ink as our apparel vendor, a Westside alum with kids at Rockbrook. With every purchase, $5 went back to the Oakdale Community Club. From the fall apparel sale, we raised $245 to support our community!

If you ordered a surprise gift, it can be picked up at the main office. Otherwise, orders will be sent home with the child based on the grade selected at checkout.
Your spirit wear will arrive at Oakdale the week of September 8th, just in time for the cooler weather!
And remember Spirit Day on Fridays, where all kids can join in by wearing the free spirit tees from the Community Club or any Oakdale spirit wear!
The Dream Big, Roar Bigger tees, available in adult, youth, toddler, and infant sizes, were part of this year’s fall apparel sale.
We chose Next Level tees for their excellent quality and stylish design. Made from a soft, durable blend of combed ring-spun cotton and polyester, these shirts were very comfortable. With a modern fit and breathable fabric, they're perfect for everyday wear. We’re thrilled so many get to enjoy these premium tees while showing their school spirit.
