How to Make a May Day Basket
Materials Needed:
- A small paper cup or a paper cone
- Ribbon or string
- Glue or tape
- Scissors
- Flowers (real or fake)
- Small treats (candy, small toys)
Steps:
- Prepare the Basket: If using a paper cup, punch two holes near the top on opposite sides. If using a paper cone, make a hole near the top of each side.
- Attach the Handle: Cut a piece of ribbon or string about 12 inches long. Thread it through the holes and tie knots on the inside to secure it.
- Decorate: Use markers, stickers, or any other decorations to make your basket look pretty.
- Fill the Basket: Put some flowers and small treats inside the basket.
- Deliver: Hang the basket on a neighbor’s door handle, ring the doorbell, and run away to surprise them!
