Family Events

The Oakdale Community Club offers enjoyable and educational events for families.

Our committed volunteers and sponsors make these events happen.

OPEN HOUSE

In August, families are invited to Oakdale to check out students' classroom and meet their teacher before the first day of school. Community Club has a table at this event where you can learn more about how you can be informed, involved, and connected.

ANNUAL FUNDRAISING CELEBRATION

In fall, we host a celebration to mark our achievement of reaching our yearly fundraising target. There are games, crafts, activities, and food available for purchase. The Vice President of Fundraising coordinates this event, and volunteers are welcome to sign up.

FAMILY NIGHT

Throughout the year, families come together for an enjoyable evening out. We encourage showing your Tiger Pride by wearing Oakdale spirit wear. Previous family nights have included mini golf, game nights, and more! This event is organized by the Committee Chair(s).

DONUTS WITH GROWN-UPS

Students and their grown-ups are invited to Oakdale for a treat of donuts, water, and coffee. The Committee Chair(s) coordinate this event, and volunteers can sign up to help.

STEAM NIGHT

Oakdale hosts STEAM nights focusing on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. These events teach students innovation and critical thinking while encouraging creative problem-solving through hands-on activities. STEAM adds art to STEM curriculum to foster creative solutions.

TALENT SHOW

In spring, students can showcase their talents like singing, dancing, or special skills at the Talent Show. Students must register, and "tryouts" ensure appropriate acts. The show takes place at Westside Middle School and is coordinated by the Committee Chair(s), with volunteers encouraged to sign up.

SCIENCE FAIR

During spring, students can participate in the Science Fair individually or in teams of up to four. Science Fair boards are provided, and registration is required with a fee per person. The Committee Chair(s) organize this event.

SPRING FLING

In May, join us for Spring Fling, Oakdale's annual carnival celebrating another successful school year. There will be enjoyable activities and delicious food for the whole family. Early ticket purchase is recommended. This event is coordinated by the Committee Chair(s), and volunteers are welcome to sign up.

6th grade send-off

On the last day of school, we celebrate and bid farewell to our Terrific 6th Grade Tigers as they move on to Westside Middle School. A memorable breakfast and bridge walk to school mark this occasion, attended by 6th graders, their parents/guardians, and teachers. This event is organized by the Committee Chair(s).
