Junior Achievement

a great way for you to make a difference!

Community Club is partnering with Oakdale Elementary to enhance the curriculum with Junior Achievement. The mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed. The inspiration piece comes from community volunteers who not only deliver the lessons but share their experience.

Volunteers serve as role models helping to positively impact young people’s perceptions about the importance of education, as well as critical life skills.

Junior Achievement typically begins in early spring. The lesson plans are easy to teach, and each volunteer receives a kit with all the materials, including a detailed guide. Junior Achievement will provide a one-hour training session regarding classroom techniques and tips for teaching the lessons.

Volunteers are asked to share 30 to 50 minutes of their time, once a week, for five visits. You have the flexibility to schedule the day and time most convenient for you with the teacher.

Most importantly, it is a FUN way to be involved in your child’s education.

This volunteer opportunity will be open to sign up from November 4th to December 4th.
